If you’ve jumped onto our home page in the past 24 hours, you may have spotted… well, a few changes.
Our model Agnes Ragankiewicz, who appears throughout the site already (how gorgeous is she?), is back thanks to a fresh new shoot by Leo. We’ve got our job-poster logos front and centre. There’s a funky animation showing job posters exactly who many of you are and what you do (I had a typing animation on my very first freelancer website years ago, so this is a bit nostalgic for me – big points if you watch long enough to spot the typo).
You might also spot a new pay rates report available for new job-posters who sign up. It’s full of suggested rates based on our surveys and those of other respected industry bodies, and it’s something we compiled after so many job-posters asked us over and over what they should be paying freelancers. (Before you all ask, yes – we’ll be making it available to members in the newsletter soon).
In case anyone still isn’t sure what we do around here, I put on make-up and dressed up right to talk into a camera. Hey, they say it’s going to be ALL about video in years to come, right? I gotta get on that bandwagon…
We know from our data that a LOT of you come to the site via word of mouth. And in that spirit, we hope you’ll do us a big favour and share the new homepage on your socials, tell people about the jobs board, give us a quick rating on our Facebook page or review on our Google listing. Every little bit helps us get the word out about you guys, and about how we’re the place to target amazing journos, content writers, editors, copywriters, subs, proofreaders, social media managers, PR consultants, comms specialists, designers, photographers… and so on.
We know there are many, many Listers who regularly share, retweet and comment on our content. So many of you email us with kind words, typo alerts or just to let us know you’ve landed a job or gig through the site. So a big, huggy thank you. We appreciate it more than you know!
PS: If you notice any glitches with the new page or login page, let us know via our contact page.
PPS. Our Show Me the Money pay rates survey will be back soon by popular demand – it’s been a while between drinks and we need all of you to come to the party!
